Spring has most definitely sprung here in Moray Speyside, with lambs in the fields, a kaleidoscope of colours and a calendar brimming with events. Whether you’re a seasoned glamper or a curious camper, spring is the perfect time to experience the magic of the Scottish Highlands and our stunning coastline, and our working farm adds a whole new layer of charm to your getaway.

Immerse Yourself in Spring on our Farm

Wake up to the gentle chirping of birds, the soft glow of the morning sun filtering through your Scottish Larch Wigwam and the happy sounds of newborn lambs frolicking nearby. Fields are starting to green up with the first shoots of Spring Barley, and the distant mountains across the Moray Firth are still wearing a cloak of snow. Witness the miracle of life firsthand during lambing season, a truly special time to visit our farm. Not forgetting our friendly goat herd who are starting to shed their shabby winter coats and are keeping out a keen eye for Mummy Goat who’s lurking around the corner with the brush!

Spring Events and Easter Fun

• Brodie Castle Easter Egg Hunt – Friday 29th March – Monday, 1st April from 10am – 4pm each day! Last entry 3.30pm: Join the Easter egg hunt extravaganza at the nearby Brodie Castle. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden treats amidst the beautiful grounds. 
• Farm to Fork Week (Moray Speyside) 23rd – 31st March: Embark on a delicious adventure during Farm to Fork Week in Moray Speyside. This week-long event celebrates local food and drink producers with a variety of events, including farm visits, farmers markets, and cooking demonstrations. It’s a great opportunity to learn about where your food comes from and sample the freshest seasonal produce. Click on the title link for the calendar of events.
• Easter Sunday Fun at Logie Steading – Join them in the café on Easter Sunday for live music from Gareth Bryant, face painting from Funky Faces and marvellous magic from Hopscotch Magic!
  All the activities will kick off at midday and their Chef will be cooking up a storm with lots of Easter Sunday treats for you to enjoy!
• Royal Highland & Agricultural Society of Scotland HIDE & SHEEP – 25th March – 14th April. This Easter RHASS are hiding 1900 toy sheep across Scotland in shops, tourist destinations and local businesses – can you help to ding them all? If you find a sheep, it’s yours to keep.
• Easter Egg Hunt at The Loft We’re also hosting our own Easter egg hunt right here on our glamping & camping site over Easter weekend! Will you be lucky enough to receive an early morning visit from the Easter bunny? Join us for a fun-filled day searching for treats hidden around our little Easter trail at our beautiful location here. It’s the perfect activity for families and children.
• MacMoray Festival (Cooper Park, Elgin) 4th & 5th May: This family-friendly festival celebrates all things MacMoray with fancy dress, live music, and entertainment. Enjoy a fun-filled day with delicious food and local crafts.

These pods have heating and electricity and have access to our newly refurbished Bothy communal area.

The campsite is open! If you are a fearless camper, you aren’t the first this year by a long shot! Tents and campers are very welcome and you can do this too here at The Loft and we have already had our first campers in tents, campervans and Motorhomes from near and far to visit us already this year! It seems tent-life van-life are a popular choice throughout the cooler months too as a chance to explore at quieter times of the year.
